“Can I make mobile Lexus payments?”
03/29/2013—WITH MANY OF our banking and financial transactions reliably moving to phones and tablets in the last couple of years, this question has been popping up with more frequency at Lexus Customer Assistance.
The answer, of course, is yes, as long as you’ve financed your vehicle through Lexus Financial Services (LFS).
The app to download is called myLFS, and here’s how it works: After downloading, just scan the QR code on your billing statement to register or log in with the same user name and password you’re using to manage your LFS account online.
From there, the myLFS app allows you to make a payment or obtain contract/payoff information on an existing Lexus Financial Services account. The app works with compatible iPhones and Androids.
Which brings up something else worth mentioning: In addition to myLFS, it’s not a bad idea to become acquainted with the other Lexus-created apps for Lexus owners, which are also available for compatible iPhone, Android, and Blackberry phones. A quick rundown:
Roadside Assistance App: This one is good for emergencies by allowing you to initiate a call with Lexus Roadside Assistance at any hour, on any day of the week. Once connected, a Lexus agent will use your coordinates to quickly dispatch a Roadside Assistance vehicle. The app also pinpoints nearby Lexus dealerships in case you need one when traveling.
RES+ App: Okay, let’s say it’s a chilly morning, and you’re busy getting ready for work. With the Lexus RES+ app, you can, via your phone’s touch screen, remotely start your engine, which activates the pre-set climate control system to have your ideal cabin temperature waiting for you. Not only that, the app allows you to check whether you’ve locked your vehicle doors, and it’ll help you locate your car in a crowded parking lot. Currently, the app is only available on the 2010–2013 RX 350 and RX 450h Lexus models, but availability will expand to other select models this summer.
Lexus Enform App: Lexus Enform subscribers can use this app to plan a trip, send destinations to their navigation system and share plans with Facebook friends. Plus, through the Lexus Enform App Suite, they get in-vehicle access to Bing, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, Yelp, and more (2013 Lexus models only).
Also note: This spring, Lexus will launch a new, comprehensive phone and tablet app for Lexus drivers, called My Lexus and Beyond. Expect it to include mobile versions of many ownership services found here on LexusDrivers.com, plus some extras—Lexus, of course, will keep you posted.
 Contact with the Lexus Enform® and/or Safety Connect® response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. A variety of subscription terms is available; charges vary by subscription.
 Lexus Enform® premium services Destination Assist and eDestination will function in the contiguous United States and Washington, D.C. These services may also function in Hawaii and limited areas of Alaska for vehicles that contain map data for those states. They will not function in Canada or in other countries outside the United States.
