11/01/2011—Today kicks off SEMA Show 2011, and you’ve got to love the flavor of this annual showcase of performance autos and aftermarket upgrades. At what other auto show can pro race drivers drive people around in featured cars?
I’m, of course, referring to Scott Pruett and Joe Bacal, who will be giving rides to a few lucky folks in the new 2013 GS F SPORT™ at the SEMA Proving Grounds. But first, Lexus will yank the covers off the vehicle this afternoon, so make sure to watch the Lexus Facebook wall today for footage of the unveiling.
The LX 570 in the above video, by the way, is Joe Bacal’s brand new off-road racing powerhouse. This fall, we’ve been covering how it was made, and as expected, the final version is now getting a few stares outside the display tent.
And as you can see from the video, there are Lexus vehicles everywhere, from Five Axis’ modified GS F SPORT™ and CT 200h to VIP Auto Salon’s custom IS C, not to mention a sharp-looking Starfire Pearl CT 200h F SPORT™ Special Edition.
