Lexus LFA for the Xbox

10/19/2010—If you haven’t visited the Lexus Facebook page for a few weeks, here’s what you missed: lots!

But let us draw your attention to an especially intriguing announcement Lexus recently posted: Microsoft, Top Gear, and Lexus have all been working together to make the Lexus LFA one of the star vehicles in the upcoming Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection for the Xbox 360.

Lexus LFA

If you’re an Xbox fan, ignore the next paragraph and just think for a few seconds about all the good times you’ll have when this latest version of Forza Motorsport—LFA included—hits stores on October 26.

But if you’re not an Xbox player, please pay close attention, especially if you’ve got an Xbox 360 owner in your life: the Forza Motorsport game series basically allows anyone to race hundreds of the world’s true dream cars on real tracks and courses—and that Xbox owner in your life will love you if he or she gets this latest version as a gift this holiday season.

Okay, so how does Top Gear fit in? Auto fans will remember the BBC show’s favorable reviews of the Lexus LFA awhile back. Well, it seems that the LFA made enough of an impression that it’s been included in a special downloadable Top Gear content card for Xbox LIVE, called “Stig’s Garage Car Pack,” which will be included with this newest version of Forza Motorsport (the card also comes with 90 minutes of specially edited Top Gear footage).

When it arrives next week, Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection will also include all the Forza add-on packs released so far, and it’ll be about $29.99. That’s a small price to pay to get a feel for what it’s like to race a Lexus supercar, if you ask us.
